Testimonial from Carin S.

When my mother passed away we had so many emotions and things to do, a video was the last thing on our mind. The details of preparing for a funeral are overwhelming. In our meeting with the funeral home, they mentioned they have a monitor for a continuous run video if we had one. My siblings and I all agreed it would be a nice to be able to share some of the hundreds of pictures we have collected from mom’s 86 years. But we had no idea how to put them into a video.

Fortunately, I know Joel Levy and immediately called him.  I communicate with him by e-mail, too. He was so kind and helpful; I knew he was the right person to help us. I thought I could bring him an old slide show, but we couldn’t find it, so all I could provide is a stack of favorite photos spread over mom’s lifetime. I took this stack of miss-matched photos to Joel on Sunday.

I don’t know how he did, but Joel delivered the CD to the funeral home and installed it Monday afternoon, before the wake began. It was absolutely wonderful, way beyond anything we could have dreamed.

There were so many people there, the parking lot overflowed. Every person applauded us for the lovely tribute to our mother. Many family members were comforted to see pictures of long lost loved ones, and days long gone. It truly helped us through a very difficult time. Not only did we have these memories to share at the wake, but we each have a CD of the slides to keep forever and share with generations yet to come. I will always be grateful to Joel for this excellent tribute.
