I use the Nikon Super Cool Scan 5000 ED the same as used by Creve Coeur Camera and Schiller’s.

I can scan at 1,000 - 4,000 pixels per square inch.  A scan at 4,000 pixels per square inch creates a large file of 50 - 80 MB.
